Once upon a time...

I have not written a post in months! I feel bad about it too... I'm not able to really access the internet that much, so that's why.
I am so happy we were able to make it to our wedding ceremony! It was like sitting on pins and needles trying to get approval to go home for that weekend.
Ben is away in training right now and has been for a little more than 2 weeks now. It's difficult, but God and my family will bring me through.
I was heart broken the other day. I have to give my dog up for adoption. He was getting to be too difficult to handle... I couldn't stay out for too long or go to a friends place and crash for the night. I had to leave him in his kennel all the time. I think it's better for him now, though. He needs a family who will stay with him all day and play with him more than I was able to.
We are so excited to start planning for the holidays! I've invited a German friend over for thanksgiving and told her she could bring a friend. I'm really excited because this will be Ben's and my first thanksgiving together! Then, 2 days after that, my birthday! Woohoo! Come on 20!
We are trying to get tickets (which are incredibly expensive) to come back for Christmas, starting the 15th or 16th of December! I can't wait to see everyone!
I really appreciate all the prayers. They're helping so much!
Please pray for Ben and me for next year though. He will be deployed in February for 12 months, and I am petrified. I know that the Lord will protect him, but I am such a worry wart.
Well, I gotta sign off. Have a wonderful day!

We're here!

After a long, cramped flight from Atlanta to Frankfurt, Ben and I have arrived in Germany!
It was a fairly simple process getting through customs, but waiting in the airport for all the paperwork to be processed and buses figured out for the 35 or so soldiers was long and arduous. However, we got through it and on the bus for our 3 hour journey from Frankfurt to Baumholder... on which we slept on most of the way...

We really like it here on post! We have a lot of stuff already squared away... We have a bank account, mailing address (which I will give details about to whomever asks), and our ID situation squared away. We just need to figure out transportation, cell phones and housing.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for us! We greatly appreciate it! Please still be praying for us to be able to get back to the states for our wedding ceremony in September.

Facebook pictures to come soon!

Packing.... Quél nightmare!

Oh my word! I didn't think I had this much stuff!! I have been packing most of the afternoon and my room is still filled with junk... Alas. I believe I must admit that I am a pack rat... I need packing therapy :(

Aside from that, GO SEE THE MOVIE INCEPTION!!!! IT'S AMAZING!!!!
Leonardo Dicaprio is usually not my all-time favorite actor, but this was an amazing movie! It's basically about mind control and how this "espionage" kind of group builds dreams, causes people to fall asleep and believe it's reality! I think it's one of the best movies ever made...

Blah blah blah

So I had my bridal shower last night! It was crazy! Ben and I are so blessed to know the people that we do! We got so much good stuff for our new house! I can't wait to use it all! So exciting!

I'm hoping I can continue to update this during our move to Georgia. We have a 22 hour drive from Erie, CO to Columbus, GA starting Monday, July 26. It's kind of nerve racking, but we should be fine. Then, just a little while after that, we'll be flying overseas!! The anticipation is killing me and I am growing more and more impatient :) I just want to see it!
Pray for us as we drive down there and fly over to Europe :)
Thank youuuuu!!!

Hmmm...

As this is my first post and I'm still in the states, I will try to keep it short.
So far, military life has been pretty much go go go. As most people in the armed forces understand, there is little time for yourself or spontaneous, far away outings. Everything has to be pre-approved, paperwork must be submitted, and dates must be given. Yet, you are not even guaranteed that you will have the ability to leave even after all that has been done. I suppose Ben and I both signed up for this, so I shouldn't complain.
We are so excited to be leaving in a couple weeks to our new home in Germany and even more excited to come back for our September wedding ceremony! I wish I could be back in Colorado to finalize all of the details for that, but, alas, Baumholder beckons.
I will miss everybody immensely!
